Be contented. Be cheerful. Do not have a murmuring spirit. But give thanks for all the blessings in your life so that God can bless you more. Have a humble spirit, so that God can exalt you. Do not seek earthly things that will perish but seek the true treasures that will last and give fulfillment
and the Lord will answer you in your times of need. Seek the Lord on your knees and pray. Worship Him in truth and in spirit.

Poetic License Carnival

Here is my poems of the month for Robins poetic license carnival.
I had a lot of fun working on it. :)

Rain

The sweet aroma that hovers in the air,
Giving life to every breath you take.
Shedding knowledge on what is to occur
Feasting on the filth that is being washed away
Quenching the cold wet droplets plunging forth.
Hearing a pitter patter on things now wet,
Witnessing the transformation from dry to wet.

My Day

Today when I got home from church after helping with Vacation Bible School (vbs) all week, I went and sat on the cool deck just looking out at my pool and relaxing, I soon saw how the ripples made its reflections look really weird. I’ve notice it before but this just looked amazing and defiantly different from anything I’ve ever seen before so I took a picture on my phone.

Now it’s not the best picture ever and u can really see the pixels but it is still an awesome pic.

Made it Through
By: Taylor McDonald

As the waves crash upon shore
As you stand before the one and only Lord
You wander if you’ve done things right,
And then he shows you a picture of your life.

You see everything
Including the tiny things
But there’s something different in this particular scene.
Its just two words
But these two words can change everything
Jesus Christ is what you read
Written all over this horrible scene.

But then you wander what’s the point in this,
And you cover your face with total disgrace.
But then the Lord speaks again
In the voice that’s like a choirs melody.

He says,
My child, your sins are many
But through my son’s name,
He has covered yours and taken away your shame.
So I want to thank you for being honest and true
For in the end you have made it through!

Happily Ever After
By: Taylor McDonald

These seven syllables or three words to be
Spells out a phrase
That we all can see.

Believe it or not
It’s up to you
But to me,
I believe it’s true!

Look at me and look at you
I can see it in some of you.

Look inside your heart,
Of wander and surprise
And you will find,
A key inscribed.

Inscribed with a cross so pure and true
Locking inside a surprise for me and you!

But to receive you must believe,
Believe that there really could be
A happy ending!

For everyone whose lost
And finds the cross
Always ends with a Happily Ever After!
